“At the center of non-violence stands the principle of love.” -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

  • Today 1 in 4 children under the age of 18 — a total of about 17.2 million — are being raised without a father.

It is our hope and prayer that you know you are not alone on this journey.
We are here to pray with you and for you.

“Trust in the Lord with all your Heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

"Hearts in Faith was a vision given to me by God to empower single moms, aka Sweet Hearts who sometimes feel alone and have little to no support. Sometimes society may see us as being less than compared to wives with children. Be encouraged by knowing that we are all created by God with unique gifts and talents. Just because we are unmarried does not mean that we are not valued or unworthy of love and support. Single moms have a unique journey as we must balance our wants and desires for relationships, careers, etc. with our duty and privilege to be amazing moms. I have been on this single mom journey for over 10 years, so trust me when I tell you that I know the struggle. Being a single mom is a huge challenge with immeasurable rewards. Yes, there are days when I feel like I’m not doing enough for my son because I have to balance being a mother, a counselor, a boss, a friend, etc. But I have learned to rely on God’s guidance as He provides me with the strength and wisdom to endure the single mom journey."

According to 2017 U.S. Census Bureau, out of about 12 million single parent families with children under the age of 18, more than 80% were headed by single mothers.

Changing Lives, One Heart at a Time.

According to the United States Census Bureau 2016, “9.9 million…The number of single mothers living with children younger than 18 in 2015, up from 7.7 million in 1985.”

No longer should the single mother have to endure her journey alone. We are here to serve you. Hearts in Faith is a faith-based nonprofit organization created for single moms, or as we affectionately call you, Sweet Hearts.  We also support youth who we call our Heart Beats.

Our mission is to empower single moms and youth by promoting healthy relationships as well as emotional, mental, and spiritual strength.

We currently have four programs serving the single moms, single fathers, and youth of Madison and St. Clair Counties of Illinois.
